What This Guide Covers
A Sherman County booking may lead to different custodians at different stages. Northern Oregon Regional Corrections, or NORCOR, maintains the official adult current-custody roster for its regional facility in The Dalles. Sherman County uses its own public-records request route for County-held material, Oregon courts record what happens after booking, and the Oregon Department of Corrections maintains a separate search for people in later state custody or supervision. This site brings those distinctions and official starting points together; it does not hold booking photos, jail records, or court files.
Useful Pages on This Site
The site is designed as a records-navigation guide rather than a collection of arrest content. Readers can use it to find:
- the Sherman County records and custody guide, including the regional roster, public-record request options, and the limits on booking-photo release;
- local starting points for Wasco Busted Mugshots, Moro Busted Mugshots, and Rufus Busted Mugshots;
- the Wanted Fugitives page, which explains the verified warrant-confirmation path without treating a name or allegation as proof of guilt;
- how NORCOR, the Sheriff, the courts, and Oregon Department of Corrections serve different record and custody questions.
What We Cannot Do
This is an independently operated website. It is not connected with Sherman County, Sheriff James Burgett, the Sherman County Sheriff’s Office, NORCOR, the Oregon Department of Corrections, any court, or another government body. We cannot access a custodial database, confirm that a person is held or released, change an official entry, or provide legal advice.
- We cannot take custody of, release, or transfer any person.
- We cannot post bond, arrange a visit, or send funds for a visitor.
- We cannot interpret a charge, predict a case result, or give legal advice.
- We cannot certify that an outside office’s phone number, fee, or schedule remains current.
Only the responsible agency or court can provide an official custody, charge, release, or case-status answer. A booking or charge is an allegation, and each person remains presumed innocent unless a court proves otherwise.
Search Partners
Some site pages include a search feature supplied by an outside provider. That provider sets its own prices, terms, results, and data practices. If a visitor chooses a paid partner service after using one of those tools, this site may receive a referral fee that helps support the guide. That possible referral does not give us control over a partner’s records, pricing, or search results.
