NORCOR Adult Corrections: 201 Webber Street, The Dalles, OR 97058; 541-298-1576; fax 541-298-1082; inquiries@norcor.co.wasco.or.us. NORCOR is the regional adult-custody location for Sherman County cases.
- Current custody or a release within the last 24 hours: start with NORCOR’s Adults in Custody roster. For the published short-window custody or release inquiry, use NORCOR’s 541-298-1576 line and its Bail Information guidance. The roster is regional, not a Sherman County-only list, and it does not show booking portraits.
- A NORCOR-held booking or custody record: follow NORCOR’s Public Information route. Requests may be made in person or by mail to NORCOR Administration, by the listed email, or by fax. Give the person’s full name, a date range, and the specific record sought. Oregon law restricts booking-photo release under ORS 133.870.
- A Sheriff or County-held record: use Sherman County’s official Public Records Request form. Its published figures are a one-hour minimum staff-time charge at an unstated rate, $3.75 per located record plus $0.25 per page, and $7.75 for a certified record plus $0.25 per page. Additional actual costs may apply. Under ORS 192.324, a qualifying written request through the designated process is acknowledged or completed within five business days, subject to the statute’s process and any applicable restriction.
- A case outcome or court copy: start with OJD Online Services. Sherman County Circuit Court is at 500 Court Street, P.O. Box 402, Moro, OR 97039, 541-565-3650. Sherman County Justice Court is at 5th and Court Street, P.O. Box 282, Moro, OR 97039, 541-565-3572. A court disposition, rather than a booking entry, addresses what happened after an allegation.
- State custody or supervision after sentencing: use the Oregon Department of Corrections Offender Search. It is not a fresh Sherman County booking list.
- Federal or immigration custody: use the Federal Bureau of Prisons Inmate Locator or the ICE Online Detainee Locator System, as applicable. Those are separate systems and do not establish a Sherman County arrest or case result.
